Antonine works with people deemed as vulnerable and as such we have a responsibility to protect the individuals as well as the information we have been trusted to collate.

Setting strict access rights means that, should a criminal get hold of the employee’s laptop or other work device, they would only be able to view a portion of the company’s personal data. We also need to protect data that’s held on devices. This can be achieved by encrypting or pseudonymising data before it is transferred (which is discussed in more detail below).

By storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of Data.

Children under 13 years of age cannot give consent to their data to be processed, though consent can be acquired on behalf of children aged under 16 and over 13.

Antonine operates a youth group supporting children with learning disabilities and reduced capacity, therefore consent should be given by guardian/carer

 

What is the legal basis for processing your personal Data?

 

Processing is carried out by a not-for profit body and the processing relates only to service users, staff and volunteers, there is no disclosure to a third party without consent.

Your personal Data will be treated as strictly confidential.

 

How long do we keep your personal Data?

 

We only retain Data for a period of 7 years after the service user or employee had left the organisation, all information will be destroyed as in line with our retention policy.
